Rie Maiden

Vice president, Networking
NETWORKING@gothamgators.com

Born in New York City and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Rie Maiden's journey has come full circle. After graduating from the University of Florida, she found herself at home in New York City, where she built a career leading marketing and brand strategy for some of the world's most recognized luxury fashion and beauty brands.

Throughout her career, Rie has held leadership roles with Tourneau, Gucci, La Mer, Jo Malone London, and Credo Beauty. Today, she is the founder of The Marketing Closet, a strategic marketing consultancy where she serves as a Fractional CMO, helping brands accelerate growth through brand strategy, communications, and go-to-market planning.

A firm believer that opportunities are created through relationships, Rie joined the Gotham Gators Board as VP of Networking to help alumni build meaningful connections, expand their professional communities, and strengthen the Gator network throughout New York City. She is passionate about creating spaces where people can learn from one another, share opportunities, and build lasting relationships.

When she's not working, Rie enjoys making the most of New York City—whether that's trying a new restaurant, catching a Broadway show, attending a concert or Knicks game, hunting for vintage treasures, or hosting friends for dinner and cocktails. She loves bringing people together and is always looking for an excuse to build community around a great conversation, meal, or shared experience.

These days, her connection to UF has taken on a new meaning as her daughter enters her junior year in the BFA program at the University of Florida, making them a proud two-generation Gator family.
