Gotham GatorS Incoming Freshman Scholarship Program
Each year, the Gotham Gators sponsor graduating high school seniors from the Greater News York City area (including parts of NJ and CT) who choose to attend the University of Florida. Gotham Gator scholarship recipients are selected after a rigorous review of their applications, which focus on the student’s academic record, community service, and leadership abilities. The scholarship committee holistically reviews each application before a final selection is made.

Gotham GatorS Summer in the City Scholarship Program
Our Gotham Gator Summer in the City Scholarship is open to all Gators interning in the New York City Metro Area during Summer 2026. Current University of Florida students who have already secured an internship in the NY area for the summer are encouraged to apply.
The Gotham Gators Scholarship Committee will review all applications and consider the applicant’s academic achievements while attending the University of Florida, professional promise, and commitment to community service. Consideration will be given for the additional financial burden on those who have unpaid internships, but all Gator interns are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be interning for college credit.

Gotham GatorS Continuing Education Scholarship Program
We are proud to offer a scholarship for upperclassmen currently attending the University of Florida. Current UF students from the New York City area are encouraged to apply. Applications will go through the same rigorous review as our high school applicants, and the application review will focus on the student’s academic record while at UF, commitment to community service, and leadership and extracurricular activities at UF. The scholarship committee will holistically review each application before a final selection is made.

Gotham Gator Scholarship Program Fundraising
Gotham Gator scholarships are made possible with help from alumni and friends of the university. All of our club profits go to our scholarship funds, which have historically been raised through t-shirt sales, prize raffles at our viewing parties, award money from our successful intramural sports programs, all Gotham Gator events, and, of course, individual donations from alumni and friends.
We are proud to announce that with your support, we were able to open a scholarship endowment with the university in the name of the Gotham Gators. This creates a program that supports New York-area students with exemplary academic and community service records to attend the University of Florida for many years to come.
